Renal (kidney) disease is growing in prevalence, often developing as a complication of diabetes. Abbott renal testing assays enable laboratories to use high-quality biomarkers for diagnosis and management of patients with acute kidney injury and chronic kidney disease.
For in vitro diagnostic use only.
Our assays have been developed to assist in disease detection and therapeutic intervention. Cystatin C can be used to estimate the glomerular filtration rate (eGFR), a standard marker for chronic renal disease diagnosis and monitoring, while NGAL allows diagnosis of acute kidney damage.
The Renal Educational Series is comprised of three modules: the Kidney Learning Guide, the Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) Learning Guide, and the monograph, Shedding Light on Renal Disease. Visit the Knowedge Center to learn more.
